Meet Axence nVision 17.5 — new capabilities for the entire team!

Axence nVision 17.5 provides administrators with additional functionality for more efficient work. It helps optimize daily processes and expand automation capabilities. In particular, the PowerShell Script Library in the HelpDesk module can be supplemented with scripts that will be used by nVision administrators. In addition, starting with this version, the following capabilities are available:

  • Work with scripts can be organized, accelerated, and simplified using the PowerShell Script Library. Selected scripts can be deployed to any number of workstations with a single click. Progress tracking and statistics viewing are also available.
  • In Inventory, relationships between assets can be created in bulk. Instead of performing a large number of separate actions, a single click is enough.
  • Comprehensive and detailed documentation will be available. It will show, step by step and with illustrations, how to implement NIS2 and ISO 27001 standards using nVision. The documentation will be released soon.

Axence nVision 17.5 can be downloaded via this link.

Centralized script management

The PowerShell Script Library in the HelpDesk module is a significant improvement. It helps organize, store, and deploy scripts in bulk to any number of user computers.

This functionality ensures that all scripts are stored in a unified environment. A script can be run for any group with a single click, according to the nVision structure. Workstations can be sorted by departments, maps, and networks.

Community script repository

The Script Library will include a repository of scripts from the Webmasters Community. It will also be possible to supplement it with custom scripts.

A script can be submitted through a form. If it proves to be sufficiently effective and useful, it will be implemented for all administrators using nVision. Community scripts will be added to the repository gradually as part of future nVision updates.

Interface and workflow improvements

nVision 17.5 also introduces many new features in the HelpDesk remote access interface. In particular, it is now possible to switch between sessions faster and view multiple monitors during a remote connection. This makes it possible not to miss a message or window, even if it appears on the user’s second monitor.

Another seemingly small but important change is the ability to specify “supervisor” as a category of approvers in the HelpDesk module. This reduces the time needed to find the right person to approve a ticket. nVision finds the appropriate person and assigns them automatically.

Network control

In the DataGuard module, storage devices, such as hard drives or USB flash drives, can now be unlocked for a specified period of time. This is convenient and helps move closer to meeting security standards, including NIS2 and ISO 27001.

It is enough to set the time in DataGuard when the relevant storage device should be locked again. nVision will handle the rest. In Inventory, multiple relationships between assets can be created. Instead of hundreds of clicks and lengthy routine work, a single action is enough. nVision saves time and helps keep the network under control.
